A delicious thirty-minute meal is always on my list of favorites. I’ve made this dish a couple of times in the last few weeks and it my family is loving it.
Summer is here and the kids are all home and out of school. Mealtime is totally unpredictable on the ranch. With no set hours, the guys can come in for dinner anytime between four and ten at night, just depending on what’s going on.
This Easy Pizza Skillet has all of our favorite Italian flavors and with Tomato and Basil Sauce, this meal couldn’t be easier.
I like to cook up a big batch of ground beef at the beginning of the week and split it up into two or three meals. This helps me get dinner on the table in no time at all. For this quick pasta dish, I also chopped up some pepperoni adding a little extra flavor and my guys are never going to complain about a dish having two kinds of meat!
Use your favorite pasta shape for this easy meal, I love the cavatappi but you what ever you have on hand will work.
Even through the summer, I try to get my family around the table as much as possible for dinnertime. It is a great way to catch up on everyone’s plans and events of the day.
Just like the Italians seem to live life simply and fully with family and friends, delicious food is often at the center of the fun.
Serve this skillet meal up with a green salad or summer fresh corn and you will have a delicious and healthy meal that your family will be asking for again and again.
Summertime is busy as ever on the ranch and with all of the recent rains, we have a lot of fence to go around and there’s cattle work to be done. Having a meal plan makes my life so much easier and if I can get it on the table in 30 minutes or less, that is a definite bonus.
