I am not usually a big fan of the vinegar based barbecue sauces, I am more into the sticky sweet sauces. I’m not sure when I first tried white barbecue sauce, but I have made it many times since. It is one of my favorites!

- honey
- black pepper and salt.
Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

One variation on white barbecue sauce that I have tried was to use malt vinegar in place of the classic white vinegar. It just adds a little different depth of flavor that I love. If you don’t have malt vinegar, you can use white vinegar or white wine vinegar.
Tangy white barbecue sauce is the perfect compliment to grilled or smoked chicken, pulled pork sandwiches or to top roast beef sandwiches. I even love dipping my popcorn chicken in it. Maybe I’m a little obsessed.
We are a family of barbecue sauce fanatics. In case you didn’t know, I even owned my own barbecue sauce company years ago. I just never get tired of creating and trying new barbecue sauces.
When we go to a barbecue restaurant, I immediately try the sauces, most of the time before the food arrives. The only one that I have yet to conquer is the mustard barbecue sauce.
I haven’t mastered the right flavor combo just yet. If you have a good mustard barbecue sauce recipe, send it my way! I would love to try it.
