Ribs are always a favorite when eating out but making them at home can be even better and way more affordable. We love serving ribs for our family cookouts and these Smoked Baby Back Ribs were such a hit that we made them two weeks in a row!

How to Make Smoked Baby Back Ribs:
- Pat ribs with paper towels until dry. Pierce all over with a fork.
- Mix olive oil and and Worcestershire sauce together and rub over meaty sides of ribs.
- Sprinkle about 2/3 of garlic dry rub over both sides of ribs.
- Get your smoker ready and preheated to 250 degrees.
- Place ribs meat side up on the grill and cook for 2 hours.
- Sprinkle remainder of rub over ribs just before you remove them from the grill.
- Remove ribs from grill and allow to rest 10 minutes before slicing.
Internal Temperature for Tender Baby Back Ribs:
Pork is cooked through at 145 degrees but if you want the most tender ribs, I recommend cooking them to about 180- 190 degrees.
Can you make Baby Back Ribs in the Oven?
Baby Back Ribs can be made in the oven. You will miss out on the smoky flavor but it can be done. Wrap ribs tightly in foil and bake at 325 degrees for 2 about hours.
Garlic and Herb Dry Rub For Ribs:
Dry rubs are the classic way to season ribs. Our garlic and herb rub is a simple rub with herbs and spices you are likely to have in your pantry.
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons black pepper
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
Mix well and keep in an airtight container. This is enough for 2 racks of ribs and can be doubled as needed. Can be made ahead and stored up to 3 months.

Smoked Baby Back Ribs
Ingredients
- 2 racks baby back ribs
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons black pepper
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
Instructions
- Pat ribs with paper towels until dry on both sides.
- Mix olive oil and Worcestershire sauce together and rub both sides of ribs.
- Mix brown sugar, garlic powder, Italian Seasoning, black pepper and salt together.
- Sprinkle about 2/3 of rub over both sides of ribs, heavier on the meaty sides.
- Prepare your smoker to 250°.
- Place ribs meaty side up and cook for 2 hours or until 190°.
- Sprinkle with remainder of dry rub just before you remove them from the grill.
- Allow ribs to rest 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with barbecue sauce if desired.
These are hands down the best ribs I have ever eaten!!! Juicy, flavorful, and fall-off-the-bone tender!
