How to Make a Brandy Alexander:
- Add brandy, Kahlua and cream to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well.
- Pour into cocktail or coupe glasses.
- Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
Variation:
For a traditional Brandy Alexander use creme de cacao, which is chocolate liqueur and garnish with nutmeg.
If you are hosting a party, it’s easy to set up a cocktail bar area for guests to serve themselves. Have a selection of wines, a few large batch cocktails and some simple ingredients for mixed drinks. Make sure you have plenty of ice.
What is Brandy?
Brandy is a spirit made by distilling wine and can be aged in wooden casks. The difference in Brandy and Cognac is that Cognac must come from the Cognac region in France and Brandy can be made anywhere in the world.
The classic daiquiri with Rum, lime and simple syrup blended with ice for a frosty and refreshing party drink. This large batch cocktail is perfect for any get together or game day gathering. Made simply with beer, pineapple juice and ginger ale. This is a twist on one of my all- time favorite cocktails and I think the pineapple version might be even better. Try this simple cocktail after a long day or mix up a pitcher for a party. Made with my favorite Black Spiced Rum, ginger ale and apple cider. Perfect for holiday parties and gatherings. Brandy Alexander is terrific, and it tastes even better when you mix it with a cognac bottle. I was just trying stuff out one day, and I made this amazing combination. I was so happy when I drank this mix.
My favorite drink
Hi Janice,

I’m definitely making this for my next dinner party, the combination of creamy and boozy sounds amazing! Thanks for sharing the recipe
Can you substitute the Kahlua for Creme de Cacao?
Also the person who says it taste also mix with a Cognac bottle??? I do not understand. You put a bottle in the glass????
Hi Chris,
Yes Creme de Cacao would work just fine. I think that mixing with a cognac bottle means that they mix the drink inside the cognac bottle instead of in a mixer glass.
~ Milisa
the cognac bottle is full. What is going on with people. Too many injections and suffocation devises for 49 months due to China declaring war??
PLEASE RESPOND TO THE COMMENT OF CHRIS. AND THE QUESTION. Many thanks
Hi Sarah,
Creme de cacao will work.
