Fruit crisp is one of my favorite desserts because it’s so easy to make. No pie crust to roll out and you can make it with any fruit you have on hand to make a peach crisp or cherries are great too. It’s always a family favorite with the crispy crumb topping.

  1. I love apple crisp. In fact, I would much rather have it instead of cake or pie.
I have added Butterscotch before in with the apples & have also added chopped up pears and / or dried cranberries.
It’s just me & hubby so I normally make in individual serving bowls

  2. When do you add the brown sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon mixture? Do you put it over the apples or do you add it to the oat mixture? Thank you in advance.

  3. Aloha, my question is the same as Debbie’s above. Seems like #4 should end with, “toss mixture with apples in baking pan”.

It does look like a simple and sweet yummy recipe— mahalo!

  4. Hi, Do you see any reason NOT to make this inn individual large ramekins? takin dinner (XMAS) to the in-laws.

  5. I see the list of ingredients, but where is the measurement of each ingredient? I don’t see it anywhere. Thank you!

    1. Hi Sandy,
The recipe card is at the bottom of the post. You can use the “jump to recipe” button at the very top of the post that will take you right to the recipe card that you can print.

    1. Hi Katie,
You can use 2 tablespoons of all purpose flour in place of the cornstarch. It helps thicken the apple pie filling, you can skip it but the pie filling will be juicier. I hope that helps.
