I there any way to make these dump cakes without butter? I am trying to control high cholesterol with diet only and no medications. Butter is way
off my list if cholesterol free or low cholesterol ingredients. I use applesauce when I make sweet breads and muffins but not sure applesauce or pumpkin puree would work in this case.
Hi Barbara,
I think you might could make it with I can’t believe it’s not butter and maybe only use 1/2 cup. Let me know how it turns out if you try it.

Can this be made with sugar free cake mix and sugar free peaches or sugar free pie filling?
Hi Amy,
It could for sure!

Would it be a sin if I put a little brown sugar on the top of it to bake? Asking for a friend, of course.😉
Hi Elizabeth,
Only add brown sugar to the top if you want to make it extra good! I hope you enjoy it.
