Air Fryer Calzone
Air Fryer Calzones are a super easy weeknight dinner that comes together really quick and can be customized with everyone’s favorite fillings. Skip the pizza take out for these homemade calzones!
Air Fryer Mini Pizzas are one of our favorites since we live in the country where there’s no pizza delivery. Now we are making these calzones, which are surprisingly simple to make. A great dinner for the kids to help out with in the kitchen.
Air Fryer Calzones ~ Quick Homemade Calzone Recipe
The great thing about this calzone recipe is it’s an easy way to please everyone at the dinner table with their favorite pizza fillings. They can also be made ahead and are quick to reheat in the air fryer.
Ingredients Needed:
- Pizza Dough ~ Homemade or Store Bought
- All Purpose Flour ~ for Rolling
- Pizza Sauce
- Mozzarella Cheese
- Diced Ham
- Diced Pineapple
- Diced Bell Peppers
- Butter
- Granulated Garlic
- Oregano
- Parmesan Cheese ~ Optional Garnish

How to Make Air Fryer Calzones:
- Divide the pizza dough into 8 pieces.
- Roll each dough into about a 5 – 6 inch circle on a lightly floured surface.
- Top each dough with about a tablespoon of pizza sauce, spreading it evenly but not all the way to the edges.
- Add shredded mozzarella, ham, pineapple and bell peppers.
- Fold the dough over to form a half- moon shape.
- Use a fork to crimp the edges to seal.
- Pierce the top of each calzone with a fork for vent holes.
- Cook the calzones 2- 3 at a time with space between at 400° for about 6 minutes.
- Flip the calzones and cook another 2 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove to a wire rack lined baking sheet.
- Melt butter together with granulated garlic and oregano.
- Brush the garlic butter over cooked calzones.
- Garnish with grated parmesan if desired.
- Repeat with remaining ingredients.

- Conventional Oven Directions: Place calzones on a parchment lined baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake at 400° for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Brush with garlic butter after removing from oven.
- Filling: Filling ingredients can be anything you prefer: pepperoni, cooked sausage, cooked ground beef, onions, mushrooms and olives.
- Storage: Store cooled calzones in a zip top bag in the refrigerator up to 5 days. Freeze up to 3 months.
- Reheat: Place calzones in an air fryer at 350° for 2- 3 minutes or until heated through.
