Ingredients Needed:

for the meatballs:

  • Ground Beef: We used 80/20, which will cook up nice and juicy without shrinking too much.
  • Steak Rub: My favorite all-purpose beef seasoning. Any all purpose seasoning mix will work.
  • Egg: Helps bind the meatballs.
  • Old Fashioned Oats: Adds a bit of texture and helps bind the meatballs.

for the honey garlic sauce:

  • Butter: salted butter
  • Garlic: fresh garlic, minced
  • Honey: use local honey if available.
  • Brown Sugar: Helps thicken the sauce and adds sweetness.
  • Apple Cider Vinegar: Adds tangy flavor to the sauce and balances out the sweetness.
  • Smoked Paprika: Adds a smoky kick.
  • Kosher Salt: For flavor.
  • Ground Chili Flakes: Or cayenne for a spicy kick.
  • Fresh Parsley: For garnish.
