Pickle Lemonade
Pickle Lemonade is a tangy and refreshing drink that is absolutely perfect on a hot summer day. Made with fresh lemons and pickle juice for the ultimate summer sipper.
Pickle Lemonade has gained popularity from Disney parks and Tiktok videos. I was very skeptical but it’s actually really good and it’s so easy to make. If you are a pickle lover, you are just going to have to try this!
Ingredients for Pickle Lemonade Recipe
- Granulated Sugar
- Water
- Fresh Lemon Juice
- Pickle Juice – We used juice from Bread and Butter Pickles and Dill Pickles
- Green Food Coloring – optional
- Sliced Pickles for garnish
- Tajin (Mexican Chili Lime Seasoning) – optional for garnish
- Ice
How to Make Pickle Lemonade
- Make Simple Syrup: Mix sugar with 1 cup of boiling water and mix until sugar is dissolved.
- Mix the Lemonade: In a large pitcher, mix lemon juice, simple syrup and water together until well combined.
- For the Pickle Flavor: Mix bread and butter pickle brine with dill pickle brine together in a small jar.
- Fill glasses with ice.
- Add 1 to 1 1/2 tablespoons pickle juice to each glass. Fill with lemonade and mix to combine.
- Make it Green: Dip a toothpick into green gel food coloring and swirl into each glass, mixing well.
- Garnish each glass with diced pickles and sprinkle with Tajin if desired.
Recipe Notes
- Mixing the pickle juice into each glass of lemonade allows each individual to adjust the pickle taste to their own liking. You can mix it into the pitcher by adding 1 1/2 tablespoons of pickle juice per cup of lemonade.
- Pre-made Lemonade: Use your favorite store bought lemonade or Country Time Mix if you don’t want to make homemade lemonade.
- Storage: Lemonade can be stored in the refrigerator in a covered pitcher up to 2 days. Stir before serving.
- Popsicles: Pickle lemonade can be poured into popsicle molds and frozen for 24 hours for a tangy frozen treat that both kids and adults will love.
