Amaretto Whiskey Sour
Amaretto Whiskey Sour is a combination of the classic whiskey sour and the amaretto sour. A tasty cocktail that is sure to be a crowd favorite.
Cocktail sours are so simple to make and very refreshing. The Amaretto Sour and the Gin Sour are both on our regular rotation for quick and easy cocktails.
We love trying new cocktails and this is one that we will be making again and again. We made this with Irish Whiskey to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day but it’s delicious enough for any occasion. Great for celebrating with friends.
Ingredients Needed
- Whiskey ~ We used Jameson Irish Whiskey, use your favorite.
- Amaretto ~ An Italian liqueur with almond and cherry flavors.
- Triple Sec ~ Orange liqueur that adds the perfect orange flavor and sweetness.
- Bitters ~ Angostura bitters are made with herbs and spices and adds a balance of flavors to cocktails.
- Fresh Oranges & Lemons ~ For citrus flavor and garnish
- Ice

Directions
- Add an orange slice and lemon slice to a cocktail shaker and muddle.
- Add ice.
- Use a jigger to add whiskey.
- Next, add Amaretto.
- Pour in triple sec.
- Add a couple of dashes of bitters.
- Place the top of the shaker on and shake vigorously.
- Fill cocktail glasses half way with crushed ice.
- Strain cocktail over ice.
- Garnish with lemon and orange slices if desired.

Amaretto Whiskey Sour
Ingredients
- fresh orange slices
- fresh lemon slices
- ice
- 2 ounces Irish whiskey
- 1 ounce amaretto liqueur
- 1 ounce triple sec
- 3-4 dashes bitters
Instructions
- Muddle a slice of orange and a slice of lemon in a cocktail shaker.
- Add ice.
- Pour in whiskey, amaretto, triple sec and bitters.
- Add the top of the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously.
- Fill 2 old fashioned glasses half way with crushed ice.
- Strain cocktail into glasses.
- Garnish with lemon and orange slices if desired.
