Blood Orange Margarita
Blood Orange Margaritas are an easy cocktails to mix by the glass or pitcher for a refreshing and delicious drink. Great for cocktail parties or serve them up alongside your favorite Mexican dishes.

Blood Orange Margarita ~ Easy Tequila Cocktail
Blood Oranges are citrus fruit that looks similar to a classic orange on the outside with a deep red fruit and juice. They are generally sweeter with floral or raspberry accents to the taste. They are perfect to add to salads or mix into cocktails for a stunning presentation.
Ingredients Needed:
- Ice ~ Crushed
- Blood Oranges ~ or Blood Orange Juice
- Fresh Limes ~ or Lime Juice
- Tequila ~ We used Jose Cuervo, use your favorite.
- Triple Sec ~ Orange liqueur.
- Honey ~ For garnish.
- Flake Salt ~ For garnish.
How to Make Blood Orange Margaritas:
- Slice blood oranges and limes in half.
- Juice the blood oranges and limes.
- Add Ice to a cocktail shaker.
- Use a cocktail jigger to measure and add tequila.
- Add triple sec to the shaker.
- Pour in blood orange juice.
- Next, add the lime juice.
- Cover and shake vigorously.
- Rub honey around the rim of the glasses.
- Sprinkle flake salt onto a small plate. Dip the rim of the glass into the salt.
- Fill glasses with crushed ice.
- Fill with blood orange margaritas.
- Garnish with slices of blood orange or limes if desired.
Recipe Notes:
- Yield: 2 Cocktails
- Pitcher: Multiply recipe by 4. Pour ingredients into a pitcher, stir well. Serve over crushed ice.
- Make Ahead: Margaritas can be made up to a day in advance, store in refrigerator, mix well before serving. Freeze up to 3 months in a zip top freezer bag. Thaw in refrigerator or serve frozen.
