The Vesper cocktail made famous by James Bond is made with both gin and vodka. We are switching up the proportions and shaking it up with cranberry juice for a festive drink that is perfect for any holiday cocktail party.

Ingredients Needed for Cranberry Martini Cocktails

Ingredients for Vesper Cocktail with Cranberry juice.
  • Vodka: Use your favorite brand, we chose Smirnoff but Titos is also a popular choice
  • Gin: We chose Tanqueray, Aviation or Bombay Sapphire are great options.
  • Dry Vermouth: Lillet can also be used to finish a Vesper.
  • Cranberry Juice: Cranberry juice cocktail or cran-apple juice gives it a beautiful red color for the holidays and also a fruity taste that balances out the liquor.
  • Lemon Twist for garnish.
  • Ice: We are shaking with ice, you can also chill the glasses if preferred.

How to Make Cranberry Vesper Cocktails

  1. Add 5-6 ice cubes to a cocktail shaker.
  2. Use a cocktail jigger to add gin, vodka, vermouth and cranberry juice to a cocktail shaker.

  1. Add the top of the shaker and shake vigorously for about 1 minute.

  1. Strain into martini glasses.

  1. Garnish with a lemon twist and serve immediately.

Recipe Notes

  • Pitcher Cocktail: For parties you can make Cranberry Martinis in a large pitcher. Chill all of the ingredients and multiply the recipe by 4 to make 8 drinks. Stir well before serving.
  • Make Ahead: Make up to 2 days in advance and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • Additional Garnish Ideas: Frozen or sugared cranberries and fresh rosemary sprigs make excellent holiday garnishes for cranberry cocktails.

Cranberry Vesper Martini

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces Gin
  • 2 ounces Vodka
  • 2 ounces Dry Vermouth or Lillet
  • 4 ounces Cranberry Juice Cocktail
  • Ice
  • Lemon Twist for garnish

Instructions
