Homemade Lemonade
Classic Homemade Lemonade is a summer tradition for front porch sipping! See how easy it really is to make!
Homemade Lemonade
Spring is my most favorite time of the year. The weather is just warming up and it makes me want to grab a glass of ice cold lemonade and do a little front porch sitting.
Our log cabin has a wrap around porch. I’ve wanted a porch like that since I can remember and it is glorious. What better way to enjoy it than to kick back with a glass of homemade lemonade!
I always have a big bowl of citrus on my counter and that’s really what got me to thinking about homemade lemonade. I can’t believe I’ve never made it before, it was so simple and incredibly delicious!
It’s been hectic getting moved in and I’m still in the decorating and putting the artwork up phase. Since Easter, I’ve been picking up a bunch of yellow daisies to brighten up my kitchen.

Homemade Lemonade
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 sliced lemon
Instructions
- Add 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water to a saucepan and heat over medium heat, stirring often just until sugar is dissolved. Pour into a mason jar to cool. Stir in fresh lemon juice and add 6 more cups of water. Stir until well combined. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices.
Fresh lemonade is always best! Love your bright yellow daisies too!
I love how simple this is and how easy! How clever to dissolve the sugar before making it, I never liked home made lemonade because the sugar sinks to the bottom and the rest is sour……
On another note – you said you moved? Do you still have the cattle ranch? I always love when you sprinkle your blog with happenings at your ranch….. 🙂
Hi Angela,
We still live on a ranch and I will still be sharing glimpses of life on the ranch. Thanks so much for following along.
