Overnight Oats with Berries and Walnuts
Overnight Oats with Berries and Walnuts is an easy make ahead breakfast perfect for busy mornings. This is a sponsored post in partnership with The Quaker Oats Company.
I am not a morning person and it seems the older I get, the more it takes to get me going in the mornings. I do love breakfast, I always have. My parents still laugh about me rolling out of bed when I was a kid and going directly to the kitchen for breakfast. School mornings are especially hectic and a make ahead breakfast makes mornings so much easier.
Oats are one of my favorite breakfasts but as hot as it’s been in Oklahoma, a cold breakfast is sometimes appealing. I’ve been seeing tons of recipes for overnight oats but I have to admit that I was pretty skeptical and unsure that I would like the texture. I was pleasantly surprised and actually loved them.
I used Quaker® Old Fashioned Oats, milk, honey, a touch of cinnamon and my favorite berries along with a few toasted walnuts. A simple combination but very tasty! I made them just before bed and the next morning it was all ready to eat. I added another drizzle of honey over the berries just before I ate them, so so good.
This was a much better breakfast than those hurried up mornings that I’m tempted to just grab something from the cookie jar. I am really trying to consciously make better meal choices in order to feel good every day. Life is never perfect, my days always seem to be unpredictable and a good breakfast seems to help add a little balance to my day.
Life on the ranch doesn’t offer a set schedule so breakfast is extra important. Lunch might be at 10:30 in the morning or 3:00 in the afternoon. Quaker® understands the importance of breakfast and continually provides products and recipe ideas to help make breakfast easy and delicious.
With Quaker® oats and milk my family can start the day strong.

Quaker is literally on the table almost every morning at our house, but I have yet to try overnight oats. Those berries totally sell me and I’m going to give it a go!
