Spicy Beer Cheese Fondue
Spicy Beer-Cheese Fondue is a tasty appetizer that everyone will have fun eating! Best served with bread cubes, little smokies, veggies and even chips.
Are you a football fan? I used to be a huge football fan. In my younger years I would sleep in on Sunday and then watch football all afternoon. These days I have too many other things to do besides watching football or sleeping in for that matter. Sometimes being an adult is not that fun.
Although I don’t watch much football anymore, I still manage to squeeze in the Super Bowl, but that is likely for the excuse to make a ton of yummy snacks.
This year we will definitely be including fondue on the Super Bowl party menu. Football watching demands guy food and maybe you don’t necessarily think fondue is guy food, but it is when it’s Spicy Beer-Cheese Fondue!
Serve it up with some crusty bread chunks and little smokies or chunks of ham, it is totally irresistible.
I am actually new to the whole fondue concept but now I am totally hooked. The boys thought it was so fun to get their own little skewer fork and dip it in the cheese. I declared no double-dipping and I’m sure they abided by the rule – yeah right.
I used a combination of cheeses including Pepper-Jack and Munster plus a bit of beer that added a nice depth of flavor to the sauce.
I was pretty excited to try out the Swissmar Fondue Set. The enameled cast iron pot was ideal for keeping the cheese sauce warm and the little burner was easy to use. Being enameled cast iron it is durable but also looks great and clean up was so easy. I already have some great fondue dessert ideas, so be on the look out for those.
