If you are grilling steaks, check out our tips on Grilling the Perfect Steak. You can also use pan fried steaks if that’s what you have on hand. For this recipe, we used some leftover grilled ribeye steaks.
To make these easy steak sandwiches:
- We sliced about half of a loaf of garlic bread from the deli and toasted it with garlic butter under the broiler.
- The leftover steak was thinly sliced and added to a hot skillet with a bit of melted butter. We tossed it until it was just heated through.
- Next we topped the toasted garlic bread with a bit of mayo, then the sliced steak, shredded lettuce, red onion, parmesan cheese and just a drizzle of steak sauce.
Starting with leftover steak, this ended up being about a 10 minute meal. So simple and delicious. You could even serve this when you are entertaining guests.
It comes together quickly and it’s totally gorgeous with steak that is cooked advance or hot off of the grill. Either way, it is a real crowd pleaser.
