Tomato Mozzarella Pasta Salad
Tomato Mozzarella Pasta Salad is a fresh and delicious addition to any meal with a quick zesty Italian dressing, cherry tomatoes and mozzarella balls.
Quick pasta salads are perfect to make ahead for summer meals, potlucks and barbecues. We like to serve it alongside Grilled Italian Chicken, Fried Chicken Strips, Bacon Mozzarella Burgers and Italian Pork Chops.
Tomato Mozzarella Pasta Salad ~ with Quick Italian Dressing
Fresh tomatoes paired with mozzarella, pasta and Italian dressing is a classic combination for pasta. This quick and easy cold salad is a great addition to just about every meal.
Ingredients Needed:
- Rotini Pasta
- Cherry Tomatoes
- Red Onion
- Mozzarella Balls
- Olive Oil
- White Wine Vinegar
- Brown Sugar
- Granulated Garlic
- Dried Basil
- Dried Thyme
- Dried Oregano
- Kosher Salt
- Black Pepper
- Fresh Basil, optional garnish
How to Make Tomato Mozzarella Salad:
- Cook rotini according to package directions, drain and rinse under cold water until pasta is cooled. Drain well.
- Place pasta in a serving bowl.
- Add mozzarella balls.
- Cut tomatoes into bite- sized pieces and add to pasta.
- Slice red onion into small pieces and add to pasta and tomatoes.
- Mix dressing together in a small bowl.
- Drizzle dressing over pasta and stir to coat.
- Cover and refrigerate one hour before serving.
- Garnish with fresh basil if desired.

Tomato Mozzarella Pasta Salad
Ingredients
- 8 ounces rotini pasta
- 1/2 pint cherry tomatoes
- 6 ounces mozzarella balls
- 1/4 cup thin sliced red onion
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- fresh basil for garnish optional
Instructions
- Cook rotini pasta according to package directions. Drain in a colander and rinse with cold water until completely cooled. Drain well and place in a serving bowl.
- Slice tomatoes and add to pasta with onion and mozzarella balls.
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, white wine vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, basil, thyme, oregano, salt and pepper.
- Pour over pasta and stir until well combined.
- Cover and refrigerate one hour before serving.
