Southern Sweet Potato Pie

Make the crust.

Cook sweet potatoes. Mash in a bowl.

Add eggs, cream, butter, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and a pinch of fine ground pepper.

Beat with electric mixer until well combined.

Pour filling into pie shell.

Bake 40 minutes.

Cool to room temperature. Slice and serve.
